Hydraulic cylinders Ø 63 mm – Agility in Hydraulics
In this category, you'll find double-acting hydraulic cylinders with an internal diameter of 63 mm . This size bridges the gap between very light hydraulics (40-50 mm diameter) and the agricultural standard (80 mm diameter).
Why choose a Ø 63 mm cylinder?
The main advantage of this diameter is its low oil consumption . Thanks to its smaller cylinder capacity, this actuator operates significantly faster than its larger counterparts (80 mm or 100 mm) when powered by the same pump. This is crucial in applications where dynamic movement, not just brute force, is crucial.
Force parameters (Piston surface ~31 cm²):
- At a pressure of 160 bar : Extension force approx. 5 tons .
- At a pressure of 200 bar : Extension force approx. 6.2 tons .
- At a pressure of 250 bar : Extension force of nearly 7.8 tons .
Applications in agriculture and industry
Sixty-three actuators are ubiquitous in modern and older equipment:
- Power steering systems: This is the most popular size used when converting tractors (e.g. Ursus C-330, C-360, Zetor) to hydraulic power steering (orbitrol).
- Bale Wrappers and Grapples: Where speed of arm closing and opening is required.
- Seeder markers and tramlining: For precise control of seeding equipment.
- Orchard and municipal machinery: Sweepers, flail mowers (side shift).
-
Opening gates and flaps: In chutes, silos or industrial ventilation.
Design
We offer actuators made to industrial standards:
- Piston rod: Typically Ø 30 mm, Ø 35 mm or Ø 36 mm . Hard chrome plated for low friction and corrosion protection.
- Mountings: Most often they are finished with self-aligning bearings (heads), which allows for compensation of minor assembly deviations and operation "in an arc".
- Seals: Suitable for operation in a temperature range from -20°C to +80°C.
